Story of Patrick Malone (convict) from Dublin, Ireland and his partner Mary Carey, (female immigrant) from County Tipperary, Ireland

Mary Carey was born in County Tipperary, Ireland. She emigrated to Australia in 1838 per the ship “James Patterson”. Mary gave birth to a son later named ‘John Jones’ and then gave birth to Patrick Thomas Malone and Mary Catherine Malone before marrying convict Patrick Malone. After Patrick Malone’s death she married ex-convict Joseph Jones

Joseph Jones (convict) had earlier applied to marry Mary Carey (there is quite a twist in this story!)
